Catalog coverage review: teaching autofill what your items cover
Quote autofill works by knowing how much of a roof ONE unit of each catalog item covers: a ridge cap bundle that covers 25 feet, a roll of underlayment that covers 10 squares.

Trussi works that out by reading each item in your catalog, and it is honest about how sure it is.
An item it read confidently autofills straight away. An item it was unsure about is kept but not used, because a wrong coverage silently orders the wrong amount, and an item it could read nothing from has no coverage at all. Both of those land on the catalog coverage review screen, which is where a line that never prefills usually traces back to.
Each row shows the proposed coverage and the exact text it was read from, so you are checking the reasoning rather than working the number out yourself. Confirm it, correct it, or set one for an item that has none.
Anything you confirm or correct is yours permanently. The automatic derivation runs hourly and never revisits an item a person has settled, so your number will not be quietly replaced. Every change also keeps the value it replaced, so an Undo on the row puts the previous one back.
You can also teach it without coming here at all. When you override an autofilled quantity on a quote, Trussi records it, and once several of your corrections on the same item agree it adopts your number as the item's coverage and stops deriving it. One correction never changes anything on its own.
Reviewing coverage takes Modify on Item.
Step by step
- Open catalog coverage review. Start on "Not sure enough to use": those items have a proposed coverage that is being withheld from autofill, so answering one turns autofill on for it immediately. Where: Items › Catalog coverage review. Needs Modify on Item.
- Read the evidence line on each row, then Confirm if the proposed coverage is right, or Correct it and enter what one unit actually covers plus a waste percentage if the item is a cut good. Needs Modify on Item.
- Work the "Nothing worked out" tab next. Those items have no coverage at all, so they never prefill; setting one is what makes them start. Needs Modify on Item.
Who can do this
Access in Trussi is a capability granted to a role. If one of these is missing from your role, an account admin can grant it; see roles, permissions and why something is hidden.
