Entering measurements by hand or uploading a report you already have
You do not need a provider integration to get measurements onto a project.
On this page
The Dimensions tab has two ways in, and both take Modify on Project Dimensions:
- Upload a report - if you already have the PDF (an EagleView, HOVER or GAF report a customer or adjuster sent you, for example), upload it and Trussi reads the measurements off it for you. It shows what it read as a draft to check first: nothing is used until you confirm it. PDF only.
- Enter manually - type the numbers in. Only the total roof area is required; eaves, rakes, ridges, pitch, waste and the rest are optional and can be filled in later.
Either way they land in the same place an ordered report would, and quote autofill and the AI estimate read them the same way. An uploaded one is listed as Uploaded Measurement Report and a typed one as Manual Measurements, so you can always tell where a number came from.
If the upload cannot be read, Trussi says why rather than guessing: the file is not a measurement report, no roof area could be found in it, it is too large, or the account has hit its AI usage limit for now. Entering the numbers by hand always works regardless.
To ORDER a new report from a provider instead, see the measurement-ordering topic.
Step by step
- Open the project and go to the Dimensions tab. Where: the project's Dimensions tab. Needs View on Project Dimensions.
- On the Add measurements card, choose Upload a report to send in a PDF you already have, or Enter manually to type the numbers in. Needs Modify on Project Dimensions.
- If you uploaded, check the numbers Trussi read off the report and press Confirm. They are a draft until you do. Needs Modify on Project Dimensions.
Who can do this
Access in Trussi is a capability granted to a role. If one of these is missing from your role, an account admin can grant it; see roles, permissions and why something is hidden.
