Setting sales goals for a location or a rep
Goals are set per year, and per location or per rep - not once for the whole company.
On this page
- For a location (a market or branch): open the location and edit it (the location's edit screen), then use the Goal Setup card. Takes Modify on Location.
- For an individual rep: open the user and edit them (User menu › Profile), in the Sales Goals section.
Both work the same way. Pick the year, then pick how you want to express it:
- Annually - one target for the year. The leaderboard prorates it to whatever period you are looking at, so a rep viewed in March is measured against roughly a quarter of it. This is why someone can look behind on a monthly view while being on track for the year.
- Monthly - twelve separate targets. Use this when the year is not flat: storm season, a market that ramps, a rep who starts mid-year. If you want September for one market to be a specific number, this is the mode that does it, rather than an annual figure divided by twelve.
The account's annual figure is not typed in separately; it is calculated from the location goals, so raising a market raises the company number with it.
A rep with no goal configured shows a dash on the leaderboard rather than a zero, so a blank there means nobody has set one, not that they have sold nothing.
Step by step
- Open the location (or the user) you are setting a goal for and go to Edit. Where: User menu › Settings › Custom Fields › Locations. Needs Modify on Location.
- In Goal Setup, choose the year, then choose Annually or Monthly.
- Enter the Annual Target, or the twelve Monthly Goals if you picked Monthly, then Save Sales Goals.
Who can do this
Access in Trussi is a capability granted to a role. If one of these is missing from your role, an account admin can grant it; see roles, permissions and why something is hidden.
- Modify on Location
