The project pipeline and its stages

Every account has a default pipeline made of ordered stages.

A stage has two separate things: the name your account chose, and a fixed semantic role that tells Trussi what the stage means.

The roles are: lead, custom, won, completed, invoiced, closed, dead, cancelled.

  • More than one stage can share a role, so always identify a stage by its name and position, never by its role alone.
  • dead and cancelled are terminal: they sit off the flow rather than at the end of it.
  • won, completed, invoiced and closed are the post-approval roles, where a project has a job value.
  • closed, dead and cancelled are left out of worklists such as the Action Required dashboard, because nothing is outstanding on them.

Stages are configured per account at Settings › Pipeline. By default only Admin, Account Admin and Back Office can approve or reject checklists and move a project past the Lead stage.
