Google Analytics and Search Console

Connect Google Analytics and Search Console to bring website traffic and organic search results into the marketing dashboard.

On this page

Google Analytics

Google Analytics (GA4) connects read-only, through Trussi's own Google sign-in, so Trussi can read your Analytics data but never change it. Click Connect on the tile and sign in with the Google account that has access to the property.

  • After connecting, Trussi lists the GA4 properties that Google login can see. Pick the one for your website (a Refresh properties button re-pulls the list) and save your selection.
  • Once a property is selected, Trussi syncs sessions, total and new users, engagement rate, pageviews, and conversions automatically about once an hour, covering roughly the last 30 days on a rolling basis, broken out by channel (paid, organic, direct, and so on).
  • A Sync now button re-runs the sync immediately instead of waiting for the next hourly run.
  • Disconnecting deletes the traffic data Trussi already pulled in right away, not after a grace period.

Search Console

Search Console connects the same way: read-only, through Trussi's own Google sign-in. Click Connect and sign in with a Google account that's a verified owner or user of the site in Search Console.

  • After connecting, pick the verified site to sync from the list Trussi found (a Refresh sites button re-pulls it) and save your selection.
  • Search Console data syncs automatically about every 6 hours, covering roughly the last 28 days, deliberately staying 3 days behind today since Search Console's own numbers take that long to settle: organic clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position, plus your top search queries and top pages.
  • A Sync now button is also available on demand.
  • Disconnecting deletes the search data Trussi already pulled in right away.

Where the numbers show up

Both surface on Channels, under Marketing in the sidebar, the same screen the Google Ads and Meta Ads cards live on. Opening it takes View on Marketing Channels. Connecting either integration takes Modify on Account.

  • A Website Traffic section shows Google Analytics: sessions, users, new users, engagement rate, pageviews, and conversions, plus a table breaking sessions down by channel.
  • An Organic Search section shows Search Console: clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position, plus tables of your top search queries and top pages.
  • Sitting right beside the ad platform cards, these two sections let you compare paid, organic, and direct site activity on one screen.

Before you connect

  • Both are connected by an account admin (Modify on Account) from the add-ons catalog under Settings.
  • Both currently carry a Beta tag in the catalog.
  • Trussi doesn't set either of these up for you. Google Analytics needs a GA4 property already collecting data on your site, and Search Console needs a site you've already verified there; Trussi only reads what's already in place.
  • If either is set up as a paid add-on for your account, its card in the catalog shows the price and lets you enable it before the connect screen appears; otherwise it's a direct connect.
