CompanyCam
Connect CompanyCam once for the account, then link each project to its matching CompanyCam project to sync photos both ways.
Connecting CompanyCam
CompanyCam connects to an existing CompanyCam account; it isn't something Trussi creates for you. Click Connect CompanyCam on the tile and log into CompanyCam to authorize the connection.
- Trussi registers a webhook with CompanyCam automatically as soon as you connect, so new photos, videos, documents, and comments start syncing in close to real time, with nothing else to set up.
- A sync settings card lets you turn Photos & videos, Documents, and Comments syncing on or off independently, plus a separate Automatic daily sync switch. That daily switch only controls a nightly catch-up pass; turning it off doesn't stop the real-time sync, just the backup sweep behind it.
- Disconnecting stops the sync but doesn't delete anything already imported: photos, documents, and comments already pulled into Trussi stay exactly where they are.
Linking a project
Connecting the account doesn't link every project automatically. Each Trussi project has to be paired with its matching CompanyCam project one at a time, from that project's own Photos tab.
- Once CompanyCam is connected for the account, a CompanyCam button appears on a project's Photos tab. Clicking it lists the projects in your CompanyCam account so you can pick the matching one.
- Pull from CompanyCam brings that CompanyCam project's photos, videos, documents, and comments into this Trussi project. It skips anything already imported, so it's safe to run more than once.
- Push to CompanyCam sends the other way: photos already on this Trussi project (never photos that came from CompanyCam) upload to the linked CompanyCam project. Each photo only pushes once.
- After linking, new activity in that CompanyCam project keeps flowing in automatically through the webhook, with a nightly pass that catches anything the webhook missed.
Where synced photos show up
- Photos and videos pulled in from CompanyCam land on the project's Photos tab, grouped in their own CompanyCam category alongside your other photo folders.
- They keep whatever tags were applied to them in CompanyCam, carried over and stored with the photo.
- Project-level comments from CompanyCam sync into that project's own comment thread in Trussi, attributed to whoever connected the integration.
- If a linked CompanyCam project gets deleted on CompanyCam's side, Trussi notices after a few failed nightly checks in a row and stops trying to sync it. Linking the project again clears that and picks the sync back up.
Before you connect
- CompanyCam is connected by an account admin (Modify on Account) from the add-ons catalog under Settings, and needs an existing CompanyCam account to connect to.
- If it's set up as a paid add-on for your account, its card in the catalog shows the price and lets you enable it before the connect screen appears; otherwise it's a direct connect.
